Kenneth M. Essad is a 1979 graduate of the University of Michigan. He received his law degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1984. His experience in civil defense trial work is broad-based. From 2012 to 2019, Mr. Essad was named a Michigan Super Lawyer ® in the practice area of Personal Injury Defense: Medical Malpractice. Mr. Essad also was named to DBusiness Magazine’s 2015 list of Top Lawyers, which is based on a peer-review survey of Metro area lawyers.

Mr. Essad has extensive experience in medical malpractice, product liability, asbestos litigation, toxic tort, personal injury litigation, automobile negligence, construction negligence and commercial litigation. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association, Oakland County Circuit Court Committee, and he is the immediate past President of the Arab-American Bar Association. Mr. Essad serves as a hearing panelist for the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission. He serves as a discovery master in the Oakland County Circuit Court and has extensive experience in case evaluations, mediations and private arbitrations.
