Law Firm Announces New Name Partner and Name Change
DETROIT, MI (January 3, 2011)
Effective January 1, 2011, Steven J. Bonasso has become a
name partner
of the Detroit law firm Corbet, Shaw, Essad & Bonasso,
P.L.L.C. The firm is now known as Corbet, Shaw, Essad
& Bonasso, P.L.L.C.
Mr. Bonasso practices primarily
in the areas of medical malpractice defense, insurance
defense, municipal law (civil rights actions/1983),
long-term care litigation, and premises liability. He earned
a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and his
Juris Doctor from Wayne State University. He was admitted to
the bar in Michigan and the U.S. District Court, Eastern
District of Michigan in 1996.
Other members of the firm are Daniel R.
Corbet, Bruce R. Shaw, Kenneth M. Essad and Steven J. Bonasso.

MI (Nov. 19, 2009) – Sarah Tupica Berard has joined the Detroit
law firm
of Corbet, Shaw, Essad & Bonasso as an
associate. The firm represents
businesses and individuals in
complex civil, commercial and corporate litigation
matters. Tupica concentrates her practice in civil litigation with a
focus on insurance defense and medical malpractice defense.
Tupica graduated from the University of Michigan in 2000
with a bachelor’s degree
in cultural anthropology. She
earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of
Detroit
Mercy in 2007. While in law school, Ms. Tupica served as a
judicial extern
for the Honorable Michael James Callahan in
the Third Circuit Court.
Ms. Tupica was admitted to the bar in the State of Michigan
and the U.S. District
Court for the Eastern District of
Michigan in 2007.
